Poem I like ( author unknown)

Their pleading eyes and playful yelps
Are all just desperate cries for help
Those who can still wag their tails
Forget all the times they've tried and failed.

Patience and love are all they need
A small price to pay for what you'll receive
The old dogs, especially, so confused and sad
Dream of the love they knew and had.

And the mongrels and crossbreeds nobody wants
Because they don't have the looks of the pedigree breed
s For the special people who say they care
There is always a rescue dog waiting out there.

So don't go to puppy farms, pet shops and such
When the love that you have is needed so much.
